The programs that we provide are intended for both beginners and experienced users. For this reason we offer two levels of instruction. Both courses cover all the necessary skills needed to operate a chainsaw safely and confidently. If any of your group or staff has taken a chainsaw safety course in the past you might want to consider a refresher course. Each course is designed to suit your specific group’s needs and experience level.

- All equipment is provided (including chainsaws - please, no personal saws)
- Personal protective equipment is provided (participants are welcome to bring their own)
- Participants receive a certificate upon completion
- CEU's awarded for ISA certified arborists - 1 day course = 6 CEU's, 2 day course = 12 CEU's
Chainsaw Awareness, Use and Safety - Level 1
1 Day - 8 Hours, Theory and Practical, 6-12 Students/Class
This is a basic level course intended for the inexperienced or occasional chainsaw user. Students will learn the foundations of proper chainsaw handling and tree cutting. The course consists of a half day of in-class theory and a half day of outdoor practical training.

This is an advanced level course intended for the experienced or consistent chainsaw user. This course covers more advanced level skills involving more field practice with technical cutting procedures and scenarios. This course consists of a half day of in-class theory 1.5 days of outdoor practical training.

Chainsaw Use and Safety - Refresher
1 Day - 8 Hours, Theory and Practical, 6-12 Students/Class
This course will cover much of the same content found in the Level 1 course, but will include more hands-on learning on the sharpening and maintenance of the chainsaw. The course consists of a half day of in-class theory and a half day of outdoor practical training. Students must have previously completed the Level 1 or 2 course to participate.
